S7300515+(2)Before coming to CPGworks, I was in non-Profit for ten years. I worked as Special Events coordinator for the National Multiple Sclerosis of WNY, National Kidney Foundation of WNY & later March of Dimes of WNY. I enjoyed meeting WNY business owners, putting together events, raising awareness & making each event successful. It was always fun for me to bring everyone together to make things happen. I received the “Key to City” in East Aurora along with various awards for most improved event & highest revenue.

After a decade of doing such work I decided I wanted a different challenge. I went looking for a different career path. Helping others has to be part of my daily life: it inspires me (and my family) and fills my heart. What better way to help others than making a match of career skills, helping others find their new job! I know from experience what its like to be without a job and trying to support yourself and maybe a family as well. I pride myself on being a good listener and I truly want others to be happy in whatever position they are seeking. When I heard that CPGWorks was looking for a recruiter I jumped at the chance to try my hand. I joined our staff in July 2007, beginning as an outside sales recruiter; but I soon found my calling on the inside sales desk. I loved making the connection between our clients and applicants/referrals.

This has been a great move for me! At the end of 2008 I received the Outstanding Leadership Award. It was nice to hear from my boss and co-workers that they felt I deserved this award. But it’s too easy: I love what I do! I love making the connections. The best feeling is when I met someone, set them up and they go permanent. Or the unexpected two week assignment turns into a full-time permanent placement.

I try to look at life with a smile on my face, I try to keep that “glass half full” type of outlook, treating everyone with respect, because I do care: I have been in their shoes. I understand what they are going through. I’ve been married for over twenty-three years, three children, (two boys & one girl): one in the Army National Guard, one in College, one in High School. We have one dog and one cat . It’s a busy household and everyone is at a different point on their life’s path. Family and Friends are important to me and make my heart smile. I enjoy reading, walking, cooking and hanging out with people.

Come on in to CPGworks I would like to meet you!
