Why use a headhunter?

Once upon a time, it was not unheard of to spend forty years working your way through the same company. You’d retire with a gold watch and a pension. Everybody would be happy.
These days that is just not the case. It does not matter the size of the company – one day you can be making a good living, the next day they’re are out of business. Companies get bought up, change hands, or change management every other day. In this industry, just one job can make or break a company.
Equally true today, people change as often as companies. After a few years in one place, you may want to strike out on your own to learn a new trade, find a new place, a new opportunity or just a new circle of faces.
As either back-up plan or an escape hatch, a relationship with a headhunter just makes sense.
