8. List the technical skills that you bring to the job. List your stronger ones first.
9. What experience do you have? (ie: 12 years framing new homes, 4 yrs as a working foreman) Use broad, summary type terms.
10. Summarize your accomplishments? (ie: built 1,000 houses in 3 years, implemented apprentice mentoring program)
11. Soft skills. What is your personality like?Example: I am an engineer; a detail guy; a coverage guy; I would rather be given orders, than be giving orders
12. Your highest position (or achievement) to date?Although not always appropriate, indicating your wage scale is sometimes helpful.
13. In what single trade do you bring the most value?Exact title please.
14. Combine your answers to form a 2-3 sentence objective statement (that you might use on your resume)This usually takes more than one try - and if you're brave enough to take a stab at it, our advisers can give you feedback on it
15. Finish this statement: "If I cannot get a job in my first choice of positions. I would welcome the opportunity to work in...Your answer here could be "First choice only". Or a Foreman might decide that he would be a Working Foreman.
