Someone sent me an email. In his subject line was "job of slave labor". What he said was, "Take your mandatory 50+ and 6 day work week, and stick a tool in it."

I've opened comments on this post because I'd really like to hear what you think. Either send me an email or post your opinion directly.

Wayne came to us in the dead of winter looking for plumbing work. After meeting with Wayne, I knew he was someone who was looking to stay at one place and grow. Unfortunately we didn't have any plumbing jobs to offer but I might have some deconstruction "..just to keep you busy while I search for you." His reply, " I need the work." So off he went. I let [our client] know that he is more than a labor, he has background in plumbing & electrical. They wanted to try him out and haven't regretted. I have been told, he is the "Go to" guy, one they "bounce & fight over" who gets him. He goes out of his way, steps up to the plate and handles not only demo, but electrical for them as well. Not surprising they took him on permanent and keep him very busy.

Great Job Wayne!

You are so right about the power of acknowledgment. You may be a bit surprised to know that I wrote a book of that title, The Power of Acknowledgment (www.iil.com/poa) and in it are the 7 Principles of Acknowledgment. I have also trained over 10,000 people in the use of this skill and it is truly awesome to see how quickly and easily they get it! The results are astounding as well. Please visit my blog; www.thepowerofacknowledgment.com and join me in any of my free one hour webinars on this topic: www.iil.com/webinars.

I am very excited that you recognize the importance of authenticity in acknowledgments as well. Many people don't get this and end up giving acknowledgments a bad name! Thanks for letting your readers know about this incredibly transformational tool and topic. Please feel free to correspond with me about it at any time: judy.umlas@iil.com.

Well said Real. I know I am often guilty of focusing so hard on steering the ship that I forget to acknowledge my crew. Each of them is vitally important. To illustrate it all I have to do is consider the inconvenience when any one person takes a work day off.

Hi John!

Thank you for the elevator statement above and kind words from Kim as well. Honestly, I did not know that this was published until today!

Had a good conversation with Huw today and wanted to follow-up with an "Adcopy or Jingle" as Huw put it. I'll see if I can put some prose to work for us both, give me a day or so and I'll email it to you. Short & concise, got it...

Having been on many a site over the past year, CPG's site ranks in the top three for ease of NAV and necessary information.

As of 12/31/09.... I spoke with Myeisha today and she was so excited to find herself listed on our website...she was laughing and feeling so proud. She is excited about the posting and will be adding this to her resume and she SHOULD. We here at CPGWORKS are VERY PROUD of all that she has accomplished in a short time. Myeisha is on winter break from college course where she received an "92 GRADE POINT AVERAGE". She is already enrolled along with looking forward to her courses starting up again in January. Along with that news, her baby girl is on walking.
GOOD GOING Lady!
